Silk Road Cultural Exchange Mission
May 31 – June 13, 2026
Continuing a Legacy of Friendship and Cultural Exchange
For more than four decades, the Narcissus Queen Goodwill Tour have served as a bridge of friendship between Hawaiʻi, China, and Chinese communities around the world.
Since 1982, the annual Goodwill Tour is one of the Narcissus Festival's most cherished traditions.
Each year, the reigning Narcissus Queen and her Court serve as cultural ambassadors, representing Hawaiʻi’s Chinese community through visits with government leaders, business organizations, educational institutions, and cultural groups throughout China and beyond.
2026 Goodwill Tour: Journey Along the Silk Road
From May 31 through June 13, 2026, the 76th Narcissus Queen and Court led by the President Angela Shiroma, embark on a special cultural exchange mission to China, following portions of the historic Silk Road—one of the world's most significant trade and cultural routes.
The tour provides a unique opportunity for the Queen and Court to experience firsthand the rich history, diverse cultures, and remarkable landscapes that helped shape Chinese civilization and connect East and West for more than two thousand years.
During the two-week journey, the delegation will visit several historic and culturally significant destinations, meeting with local government officials, community leaders, cultural organizations, and overseas Chinese representatives.
The tour highlights the enduring friendship between Hawaiʻi and China while promoting cultural understanding and people-to-people exchanges
The Narcissus Queen Goodwill Tour remains one of the Chinese Chamber's most meaningful cultural exchange programs.
By providing young leaders with opportunities to engage internationally, the program helps build mutual understanding, foster lifelong friendships, and preserve cultural heritage for future generations.
We look forward to continuing this proud tradition of friendship, cultural exchange, and goodwill for many years to come.
