The Narcissus Festival Coronation Ball is the premier event of the annual Narcissus Festival, hosted by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaiʻi.
This elegant evening brings together community leaders, members, and distinguished guests to celebrate the crowning of the newly selected Narcissus Queen and her Court.
The Coronation Ball is a time-honored tradition that showcases the beauty of Chinese culture, the spirit of aloha, and the leadership of Hawaiʻi’s next generation.
The evening features a formal coronation ceremony, cultural performances, and a celebratory banquet in honor of the Queen and her Court.
At the heart of the evening is the official crowning of the Narcissus Queen, symbolizing her role as an ambassador of goodwill.
Alongside her Court, she will represent the Chinese Chamber throughout the year at cultural events, community engagements, and the historic Narcissus Goodwill Tour.
76th Narcissus Festival Coronation Ball (2026)
The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaiʻi proudly hosted the 76th Narcissus Festival Coronation Ball on January 31, 2026, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom, welcoming nearly 500 guests for an unforgettable evening of celebration, culture, and community.
Coronation of the 76th Narcissus Queen
The highlight of the evening was the crowning of 76th Narcissus Queen Madeleine Au, who was officially crowned on stage by Josh Green, Governor of the State of Hawaiʻi, with assistance from the 75th Narcissus Queen Alycia Abordonado.
This meaningful moment marked the beginning of Queen Madeleine’s journey as an ambassador of goodwill representing Hawaiʻi’s Chinese community.
Distinguished Program and Performances
The evening was emceed by Stephanie Lum, who guided guests through a program filled with cultural elegance and entertainment.
Guests enjoyed captivating performances, including traditional folk dances presented by the Oriental Dance Studio, a vocal performance by Queen Alycia, and a graceful fan dance by 75th First Princess Victoria Hung.
A Celebration of Community
The Coronation Ball brought together community leaders, members, sponsors, and friends to honor tradition while celebrating the next generation of cultural ambassadors.
The event was chaired by Lee-Ann Choy, with program coordination supported by Past President Michele Choy and a dedicated team of volunteers.
