The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii was founded in 1911, initially to provide service to the merchants in Chinatown, and to assist the immigrant population assimilate into their new community.
Since those humble beginnings 105 years ago, the Chinese Chamber has grown tremendously and now serves as a leader and an active voice for not only Chinatown but the Chinese community in Hawaii.
Today, Chinese Chamber members are active in the community as prominent business, professional and civic leaders who are also patrons and supporters of community efforts and organizations.
The Chinese Chamber’s mission is to promote business and economic development, to preserve our rich cultural heritage and to encourage civic responsibility, primarily through education and outreach.

President's Message
It is with gratitude that I serve as the President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
I am thankful for the support from our Past Presidents, board members, members and Young Professionals.
The Chamber’s mission to promote business and economic development is accomplished by way of networking events, seminars and legislative relationships.
Community outreach that benefits Chinatown businesses include a very successful annual Chinatown clean-up project, among other initiatives.
The Chamber was established in 1911 and started the Narcissus Queen Festival in 1949 to be the celebration that provides the Hawaii community with cultural events to perpetuate and rejuvenate Chinese tradition, history and pride.
The Chamber events would not be the same without the presence of our Narcissus Queen and Court.
They are the highlight of many events such as Choy Cheng Chinatown Open House, Chinese New Year, and the Narcissus Goodwill Tour to China.
We thank them for their time and effort to volunteer at many events in the community as the Chamber’s goodwill ambassadors.
