Pau Hana and Networking Event
Please come by to "talk story" with other members!  The Pau Hana Night will be on Thursday, August 20, 2015, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the HASR Bistro on 31 N. 67th Narcissus Queen Search
The search for contestants for the 67th annual Narcissus Pageant is on.  Qualifications for contestants are: Must have a minimum of 25% Chinese ethnicity; Single (never been married or given birth to a child); Must be 19 to 26 years of age on pageant date (January 9, 2016); and A resident of Hawaii for at least twelve months prior to pageant.  If you know of any young women meeting those qualifications and is interested in competing in the Pageant, please download the application and send it to the Chinese Chamber by August 7, 2015.  Please open the attached documents 2016QueenSearchPoster.pdf,

Moon Festival Celebration
Chinese Chamber will be holding the largest Moon Festival in Hawaii on September 25 and 26 at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza.  Activities to take place during the Moon Festival will include: A Taste of China, numerous food  booths to enjoy Chinese food from various regions;  entertainment by Chinese and local stars; Chinese gifts and crafts; Moon cake eating contest; Moon cake and tea pairing; Performance of the myth of the moon Goddess; Health fair; Lanterns making and parade; and a contest for the best lanterns made. 
The event will be FREE to the public.  For information, sponsorship,
